White Wedding - B.B. Kings Blues Club 7/22/11 New York City

Photobucket

On one of the absolute Hottest days of the year as New York was going through a Heatwave (110 in the shade & I Dont Know What To Write Anymore!!!!) Our fifth performance at B.B. King.s Blues Club in Times Square was tighter than ever for the segue's and the band played dare I say nearly flawlessly. Premiered tonight was the Freddie Mercury costume that we had not seen until "onstage" during proceedings.

In my experience B.B. King's Blues Club in Times Square remain the most efficiently run juke joint on the planet (at least on the east coast) from the hospitality standpoint as there are no real questions of policy and the entertainment is treated cordially, assuredly and politely. On a Sonic level the stage monitors and house mix bar none.

White Wedding - B.B. Kings Blues Club - 100th SHOW 2/25/11 New York City

Photobucket

Not only was it the band's 100th show and we really have come a very long way but this was also unequovically the bands finest show from my standpoint on the bandstand. I have never been so entertained seeing a performance at B.B. Kings as much as ours (Humble, Aint I) and I saw Dr. Demento at this very location.

Premiered tonight was the "Weird Al" portion of "Like a Virgin" that I forgot we had rehearsed but we recovered quite nicely as the band are becoming more and more flexible as an ensemble. This gig was also the first time that I saw many costumes which gave the show a "what happens next" edge for me not to mention what the audience must have been thinking. The band played very well but I am super proud of our singers for making this a real show.

Gilbert Gottfried - 8/26/10 Caroline's Times Square, New York City

Photobucket

What can I say, Gilbert played to a packed and hysterical Caroline's and did A meet and greet afterwards at the merchandise table.

Jon Anderson - B.B. Kings 4/11/10 New York City

Photobucket

Jon Anderson treated us to an intimate evening of mostly acoustic music accompanying himself on acoustic guitar and electric keyboards at this famous Times Square venue performing a nice mix of classics as well as some rarities (two Jon & Vangelis tunes .-) I was pleasantly surprised to arrive only to see a sparsely furnished stage (No drumkit or amps) anticipating we were going to get a chance to hear the songs in a raw format. the ticket said "Doors 6, Show 8" and since I wasnt planning on spending fifty bucks on dinner for myself I arrived forty minutes after the doors had been opened to my detriment. I had one of the worst seats in an otherwise general admission audience.
