THE CONTINUING ADVENTURES OF,...

Its My BLOG so this entry is certainly Digital Diary worthy and only I will see it. Let me see if this all pans out in the end. Trying to remain positive but it is all so distracting. Treatment begins in about 2 daze.

July 7, 2019- OK technically July 8th as it was i a.m. but I don't count a day over until after an extended sleep break. Was hesitant to take this pill of course due to possible side effects but here we are only about 40 hours afterwards and so far nothing but still too early to tell in my book.

Meds to be taken twice daily.

Oral is Axitinib (brand name : Inlyta).

July 8,2019 - First Infusion - A long and boring process occupying really only about six hours but just sitting there with no book or food. I knew I could bring a book but Cristina came along and learned that food was allowed, This I will need. Asked for a bit of water so I could take my pill and she (the nurse) gave me a whole bottle of water but I don't want a whole bottle of water. On this visit they had to call in for my infusion meds a second time as they are custom made on the spot (probably due to the procedures blood test results) and were never delivered, after they add this concoction to the water drip it takes about a half hour followed by water flush.

Infusion is scheduled every three weeks.

Infused is Pembrolizumab (brand name Keytruda).

Infusion in progress.

7/29/19 - My second visit to the Infusion suite brought two differences. Importantly I was slightly Anemic and am less so now, wether this is down to the medication/treatment I suppose is anyones guess but the doc told me about the Anemic part, I am guessing pessimistically on the cause.

A less important but nice difference is the fact that I got a private room this time, I suppose the first visit was in a public room so you could be monitored easier but once again I am second guessing.

I did notice that on my appointment sheet there are rooms assigned.

Also this was the first visit where I took advantage of the Car Service which I am sure my insurance company is overpaying for.

8/19/19 - There is an infusion photo (of course) but this one shows the t-shirt off better.

After treatment we had lunch at Silver Star and I got to visit Target on 18th avenue for the first time and I got to not like the store very much, kind of mall mentality, willy nilly stock logic but nice to be on the site of the old Walker Theater

9/6/19 - Had the first Petscan at the infusion building and got to bring my Kindle Fire as Cristina sat this one out, nothing to do but wait around anyway. No free Yogurt or juice but had to drink a bit of water before the scan, fortunately only had to fast that morning (I think or was it at all, these photos are being added late).

9/9/19- looks like I took a turn for the worse, Well I hope not that quickly. This was a gag photo of course that I did post on Facebook and quite a few concerned thought I was being serious,... SERIOUS !!!

Diagnosis - Lung Nodules have reduced, Kidney area unchanged.

Lunch - Mikes Diner.
Cheeseburger Deluxe.
Not Good, Didnt even finish my plate.

10/1/19 - For vanity reasons alone I must poof my hair up more for photos.
Nice t-shirt from my recent journey.

10/21/19 - Doctor Brecker usually asks the same question which is
"How's everything, how do you feel ?"

And I always reply
"the same, I feel normal"

Today Doctor Brecker added "normals good"
I said to Cristina
"he has absolutely nothing to say"
